EaseGM
Symmetry’s EaseGM is a truly amazing product. Great success stories started coming in the very same day we first released it, literally within minutes! However, most people focus on this product for relief of joint pain and minor aches from injury. While this is certainly an important area to address, one that causes millions of people discomfort and decreases their quality of life, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I could literally do an entire product training session on just this one product. It’s hard for me when this is just one of many products I try to share information on in a short 1 ½ hour time slot. Let me share a few things that you might not have caught, if you have attended one of those sessions.
One of the first things I try to stress about our EaseGM is that even the delivery system is patented. This revolutionary technology is called QuSomes ™. QuSomes is the first thermodynamically stable, spontaneous forming liposomal system. QuSomes offer a high encapsulation rate and improved performance for truly functional, therapeutic products.
What the heck does that mean?! It’s a method of encapsulating active
ingredients into a microscopically small delivery package. The resulting micro-spheres
are so small they literally fall right through the upper layers of the skin
to deliver the active ingredients inside the body to the targeted site. This
technology is not only licensed by Symmetry but several drug/pharmaceutical
companies.
The other, most recently awarded patent goes to our PLA-2 inhibitor, Inflacin™.
This is a revolutionary technology, which targets a key cause of wrinkles,
aged skin and other skin problems. The new discovery is a method of blocking
the natural inflammatory process, resulting in a method of visibly reducing
wrinkles and providing younger, healthier looking skin.
"Inflammation plays an important and active role in so many health conditions,"
said Dr. Brian C. Keller. (Dr. Keller was one of the key developers of this
technology.) "We are now seeing a direct correlation between the inflammatory
process and the aging process of the skin. This is not only a major breakthrough
in anti-aging technology, but also in the world of anti-inflammatories, since
Inflacin™ is not a steroid and doesn't carry steroid side effects like
most other anti-inflammatories," continued Dr. Keller.
This new discovery works by blocking the key enzyme along the biochemical
pathway that leads to inflammation. The enzyme known as phospholipase-A2 (PLA-2)
is found in nearly every cell in the human body and leads ultimately to the
production of potent inflammatory agents called prostaglandins. The newly
issued US patent, # 6,495,596, claims a method of treating inflammation and
lists twelve related compounds that have the ability to inhibit this very
well known process that leads to inflammation and tissue damage.
"For the first time, the skin care industry is targeting the cause by
making a direct connection by which inflammation and free radicals damage
skin," said Keller. "By halting the progression of inflammation
and its sequels, the effects of free radicals are also abated, and this vicious
cycle is broken. The diversity of these compounds is astounding," says
Dr. Keller. "We are seeing a number of successful treatments including
arthritis treatment, seborrheic dermatitis, to slowing the process of aging
skin."
Another use of this new invention, Inflacin, is for joint pain and swelling.
In a recently conducted randomized double-blind cross-over trial, there was
a significant decrease in pain with 5% Inflacin cream compared to a placebo
cream applied to subjects with moderate to severe joint pain. There was a
significant improvement in stiffness and improved range of motion with the
subjects receiving Inflacin compared to the placebo group.
We, at Symmetry, have taken all this technology a step further by adding glucosamine
and MSM to the above two patented processes to create our EaseGM. As you can
imagine (and may well know) this is a fantastic product for the pain associated
with arthritis, back ache, many injuries and even headaches. But, as you can
see, it’s also a terrific product for pretty much anything going on
with your skin including eczema, dermatitis, any redness, swelling, even bug
bites and of course wrinkles!
EFAs: GUILTLESS FATS.
Fats are not all the same. Some may be good and some may be bad. A group of
healthful polyunsaturated fatty acids called Omega FATTY ACIDS ARE currently
getting everyone’s attention. Whether you surf the net, visit a health
food store, watch TV or read newspapers, you’ll find these healthy fats
with tongue twisting names. These are the Omega 3s such as EPA (Eicosa Pentanoic
Acid) and DHA (Docosahexanoic Acid) and the Omega 6, GLA (Gamma Linolenic
Acid).
EPA, DHA and GLA have specific functions in the body. However, all together they make a highly efficient combination for maintaining a sound body. Overwhelming bodies of research and clinical trials have shown that Omega fatty acids are necessary for maintaining
• Healthy Cardiovascular Health
EPA is tagged as the heart saver fatty acid. It helps prevent the formation
of cholesterol plaqueS and blood clotS, which are the main culprit in cardiovascular
disease. Cholesterol plaqueS thicken and narrows blood vessel, which lessens
circulation. Blood clotS can clog an artery and consequently cut the supply
of the life giving oxygen to the heart cells. EPA prevents plaque formation
by increasing the HDL (good) cholesterol level in the blood. HDL can be likened
to a garbage collector that picks LDL (bad cholesterol which forms plaque
in the wall of arteries) and transport them back to the liver for storage
until need arises. EPA on the other hand, hinders the formation of blood clotS
by producing thromboxane A3. This substance makes our blood platelet less
fragile, less sticky and as such, less prone to form clots. Moreover, studies
have shown that both EPA and GLA can help lower blood pressure, cholesterol
AND MORE IMPORTANTLY TRIGLYCERIDES
• Healthy Skin
Essential fatty acids help lubricate the skin as well as other tissues and
help them keep supple and youthful. Fatty acid deficiency on the other hand
may cause loss of fluidity within and increase water loss from the skin. As
a result, the skin thickens and the granular layer becomes more developed.
Studies have shown that EPA is beneficial in reducing skin itching, redness,
scaling and flaking, commonly associated with psoriasis. Similarly, in atopic
eczema, GLA improves THE skin’s condition, relieving itch and reducing
the amount of steroid medications required.
• Normal Brain Function
DHA is a building block of ALL human NERVE TISSUE INCLUDING brain cells. Extensive
Japanese research indicates that DHA hastens brain development in babies (while
still in the womb) and enhances intelligence among kids by accelerating learning
ability and improving memory. Pregnant women and lactating mothers should
ensure that ample amount of DHA are included in their diet, as they are the
only source of DHA for their babies.
• Normal Premenstrual Hormonal Function.
GLA has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic effects on
the smooth muscle. Essential fatty acids produce prostaglandins, which are
hormone-like substances with wide-ranging effects in the body. The prostaglandins
from Omega-6 (GLA) have anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects. As such,
GLA has been successfully used in reducing the pains associated with menstruation.
Other health effects of the Essential Fatty Acids based on research and clinical
trials.
• EPA and GLA may provide relief for arthritis.
• DHA plays an important role in the development of the baby’s
visual acuity.
• In diabetics, GLA has been found to reverse neurological damage and
in alcoholics, it has been found to accelerate recovery of liver function.
• EPA may also be a particular boon for migraine sufferers by blocking
the production of a substance called serotonin that constricts blood vessels
and makes the attack more painful.
EPA and DHA can be found in flaxseed, canola, soybean oils and in cold-water fish like salmon, herring and anchovies. Nuts, safflower, sunflower, corn, borage seed, evening primrose and black currant seed oils are good sources of GLA. You can also find these nutrients in capsules and tablets. However, you can seldom find a single product, which contains both the omegas 3 and THE BENEFICIAL OMEGA 6.
Symmetry ADVANCED OMEGA is a treasure house of essential fatty acids. IN ADDITION TO EPA, DHA and GLA, it also contains lipotropic nutrients such as Carnitine, Methionine, Inositol, Choline and Medium Chain Triglycerides. Lipotropics are necessary for the absorption and proper utilization of fatty acids in the body. They break fats down into smaller molecules; facilitate their proper transport across the intestinal wall, in the blood and into the cells. Lipotropics also keep cholesterol moving safely, prevent abnormal excessive accumulation of fats in the liver and arteries ALSO HELPING TO increase resistance by helping the thymus gland carry out its functions.
Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine, a vital component for the transmission of messages from one nerve to another; this has proven effect on memory thinking ability and muscle control. It also prevents the deposition of fats in the liver and facilitates the movement of fats in the cells. Deficiency may lead to cirrhosis of the liver.
Inositol is primarily involved in maintaining the integrity and structure of cell membranes. It helps utilize fats and cholesterol and may help redistribute body fat. It is an important nutrient for brain cells, skin cells, as well as for intestinal cell walls. Low levels have been linked to eczema, hair loss, elevated cholesterol levels and increased fatty plaque formation in the arteries.
ADVANCED OMEGA is truly the most complete omega supplement in the market in a stabilized dry form. Fatty acids are very sensitive to oxidation. The stabilized dry form ensures that the product reaches the customer as fresh as it was manufactured.
